Where do I go from here
I ask an empty room
Voices echo back
Reverberating off the plain, chipping wall
I curl into a ball
Trying to make myself as miniscule as I feel
My head is spinning at the speed of light
So swiftly I hardly have time to gulp for air
If only I could wrap my mind around this tragedy
But it’s hard to wrap one’s mind around something
When the vigor to think about anything has vanished
So where do I go from here
I ask no one in particular
A hand –
I want a hand
A sturdy hand to pull me to the surface
A person –
I want a person
A reliable person to sit beside
So you, who are listening,
The one reading from the side
Please, if you could spare some time
Tell me, where do I go from here
